WHICH LSD OIL 85-140 or 140w

Guys, most oil manufactures spec's 85-140w for rear lsd.
So why do Penrite cat specs limslip 140w as a h/duty application.

My gen Ford DA Mav manual specs, 140w and 10% volume friction modifier No 38469-C6000.
    What's going on here?.
    Anyone have an answer.

    Hi mate,
Limslip 140 will be fine in your diff, we have used it exclusively at work for 5 years now and have found it excellent.

Back when ya mav was made it would have needed a bottle of additive added to the diff oil to allow the LSD to function correctly, however penrites additive pack in limslip 140 (and in most modern LSD diff oils) makes adding separate additive unneeded in Nissan patrol applications.

Also, a few diff rebuilders I know supply limslip 140 with every overhaul, and some won't warrant their repairs unless it is used, it's good stuff.

    Steve
