    here is your GT-R badge on a patrol, been on there for a long time, and from what i was told when i bought mine, it had an rb26dett in it at one stage. it now has a 6.2ltr v8 diesel in it though...... i may not go anywhere fast... but i go anywhere!!



    i also used to play with an old r32 gt-r spent a lot of money on it after i brought it over from japan.... so many pics have been lost in later years but this is what it looked like when i paid for it... still sitting in japan at the time..





    in the end it was a full turned new motor based on the 400R nismo production 3ltr stroker kit, but all made out of one piece, (read.. no spacers or sleaves) was running a titanium alloy block and head with all custom internals and a triple turbo set up. capable of running continuously at 60psi and valve bouncing at just on 11000rmp it was a real nice toy. it once registered 1019awhp ( mind it was a very cold day, and we were blowing an extraction fan out of a mobile snap freezer. ) standard road trim i managed a 10.8sec 1/4 mile and was removed from the track by officials for not having a chute and roll cage. that was the maiden voyage and the beginning of the end for my fun as it then became a daily and too many points were lost

    nice R31, big ups on teh 3l stroker.

    How do you think the RB26 would fair in the Patrol compared to a larger capacity n/a V8?

    I've seen these types of threads before on different car forums and honestly, I'll believe it when I see some progress. What people don't tell you is that it's not just a case of swapping the motors, the trannies, the diffs if you're going for a strip and street car. Going to take quite a bit of money and dedication to do this. All the power to anyone who wants to do it, just don't get upset when the bill is getting to 15k, 20k, 25k. The kilowatt gains get lower and the price get's higher, lol.

    And unless you plan reducing the weight of the car, you're going to need a lot of horsepower to push that big, heavy, un-aerodynamic 4WD down the strip super fast.

    1000hp !!!!!!!!!!!!thats insane.... What MPH did it do the 10.8 at?

    I would kill many babies to have that r32 ... NO JOKE :/ O.o jokes

    I'm not going to race it down the strip, I just want a mad sounding town 4wd that I can hit the mud in to the sound of gate all day :P I think the rb26 is the maddest sounding 6 cyl to ever live... And the Patrol is a pretty tough looking 4wd IMO I don't think you could get a better mix of sound and looks from a 4wd... That I can afford

    I have a rb26 sump that had been modded with a GQ sump so it fits over the chassis still and it also has a modded oil pick up from a rb26. I have a mate who done his own rb25 into a nissan navara ute, he also owns 2 r31 skyline 2 doors with rb25 and the other with a rb26 and a r34 4 door with a stock rb25... So he knows RB transplants and does all the wiring and custom fab work, so I'll be in good hands when it comes to the conversion. Oh and he also has contacts in J-Land who can get rb26 half cuts cheap.

    cant remember to be honest, running a g-reddy 6 speed box with custom gears the speedo topped me out at 320 kph on the 90mile straight, nullarbor.

    once i hit the 300 mark adrenelin was so high i couldnt slow down, until the rev limiter hit in 6th gear
