    Gq speedo adjustment

Ok this should give you 10% adjustment on your speedo.
The easiest way is to drill a hole in the instrument cluster that lines up with the circled variable resistor
and use a fine tip flat blade screwdriver that fits into the back of it.
Remember to be gentle never apply a lot of pressure or you will break it.

Didn't even think to look at that it might do as the odometer feeds off the back of the speedo.

It is a variable resistor so it varies roughly 10 % or a few k's they only turn about 300 degrees you would use a gps and turn it slightly until the speedo is more accurate.
The speedo drive is connected to the transfer bascically runs off the rear tailshaft so gears etc have no influence over anything.

all sounds good, thought you may know which way to turn and roughly by how much.
eg from 1 o'clock too 4 o'clock will give you approx required amount.

can you do that maybe and give us an idea to this, for an example please.
    Cheers

Hey Robo, the idea would be to set your GPS or an App on your Phone to measure your speed then do the adjustment while driving on a straight bit of HWY at 100km/h on the Freeway.

When i did mine i took the front off the gauge pod and did the strong arm adjustment to the needle at 100km/h and it worked a treat. 97GQ's way give a bit more mechanical respect to the gauges though

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
