No..... we are giving you more experience in running a forum.

I would go the separate forum so only "Forum Sponsors" could access it....but then again I think the manuals should be in a "Forum Sponsors" only section *L*

I like the idea.. but how do you police it? I mean, what's to stop someone going out every weekend and getting stuck and asking for help, knowing they'll probably get it? I'm not saying people here would use others.. but like, what if you get some shifty people handing out numbers to friends, and then they are using it as a life line?

I know, I'm the pesimist of the house, lol.. but you gotta take everything into consideration.

yeah I must admit, I'm all for helping and like the idea but would be pretty uneasy about having my number out there

Well I guess you'd only offer if you were comfortable with the whole idea. It's really only going to be for blokes who live in the bush, or quite close. I'm a good hour away from the closest tracks from my house and then you have to get to the track itself where the recovery is to be made. Going to be a lot of time out of my day to help someone out and I can't see myself doing it. I'd certainly help if I was already there mind you.. but couldn't take out a few hours from a day especially since the time I have now is limited anyway.

I think this idea is great for the guys who live close to the tracks though! You should have a local meet up, chuck on a BBQ and discuss it! Great excuse for some wheeling!

It is a good idea, i am on a national law enforcement forum as well and we have a similar section set up. It is password protected so that only financial and current registered members can see it, if they are not financial, they lose access to the forum etc and it works really well.

I am only 15 mins from wilbinga dunes in perth and am happy to help out if i am free and not committed to work etc.

As already mentioned, you may need to appoint 1 or 2 members to minitor the contact section to help out in keeping it above board, all members should take into account that they should be covered by their own insurance and that the forum and associated members are not to be held liable for assisting in any recoveries

For sure mate, no one can see that section apart from forum sponsors and I am the only one who can add someone to the map as well so it will be highly monitored indeed.

Good point about the insurances, etc... I'll add that to it.
