I have recently bought my fifth patrol. I am a mountain Guide based in Bolivia and have driven a patrol since 1996. I have taken those cars up to 5.800 m on a mining road to Uturunco Volcano (probably the highest road on earth!). Now I have a 2005 ZD30 vehicle and it is my first diesel. I can wait sharing my high altitude experiences with other patrolers!

Hi guys! I am back to civilization and back to the forum! I was travelling in the mountains. the good news: I have taken my 2005 zd30 patrol as high as 5200 m! It is an amazing machine. It pulled without problems on the sandy slopes of a volcano at the Bolivian-Chilean border called Parinacota. I had some problems starting the engine though, I guess the altitude and the temperature did not help... it was -7 C.
