    Fitting rear seats to a DX patrol need a bit of help Please

    Hi all Ive just finished stripping the rear of my Partol to find out i have no seat mounts for the back seats has anyone else out there done a transplant into a DX patrol or got pictures of the mounts so i can fab some up

    You'll find that you'll need to get new compliance plates and get you mod engineered an certified as the DX was only ever meant to carry 5 passengers......... as for mounting the rear seats, sorry I don't know but hopefully someone who does will come along soon

    HI Mate It’s a bit different in Tassie I just need to have it approved by a Motor Trimmer/ Upholstery business that has Transport approval.

    I thought the same thing with the engineer but after some ringing around I found out the above. :-)

    All the holes will be there. You may have to get some brackets which will bolt to the floor then the seats will mount to them. See if someone can post some photos of their patrol with rear seats fitted and their mounting.

    Hi Yes that would be good I really do need to see the mount and have some measurements of the length height and width so i can fab up a monut

    If anyone knows of a Gu shell sitting around I wound be happy to give someone 100 bucks for them

    Hi bushytas,

    I took some photos of the rear of my car. The seat has been taken out. There is a side mounting on the wheel arch and a u bolt for the floor. The seat must have a side mounting point and a floor locking mechanism.

    I don’t suppose you would be able to measure the length height and width of the mount for me Please

    There is a thread about fitting dickie seats to a DX on the Patrol4x4 forum, but enter at own risk. The site is still full of nasties.
