Angry Not sure what to do?

    hi
I haven"t had a post for awhile, so to give u all a quick back ground, I have a 99 GU 2.8 ST. It's done around 310k. No problems till recently would not start hot, even after a couple of glows of the GP's. Took it to my local 4x4 workshop for the first time. After 3 days and $1000 they had replaced oil & air filters, cleaned all the sensors & replaced all the glow plugs. It's now been 7 days and the problem happened again today, stranding me at a remote boat ramp. after letting it sit for awhile & glowing the plugs 3 times it started. just wondering if any1 has any ideas & does any1 know where i stand in terms of taking it back to the 4x4 shop. Any help much appreciated.

Yep, just remove battery for access, on the side of the pump there is an oval shaped plate with two m6 studs, remove that and replace it with the modified one.
I comes with new 0 ring.

As far as I can work out, it advances the fuel just that little bit when the pump has a bit of wear.
I have been known to remove the plate, drill a small hole in the exact centre and rivet a 10 cent coin to it, sometimes two.
But for the amount of hassle, it's easier to buy one from Nizzbits.
    Cheers, the ferret.

    good one.
the old coin trick has found another use.
I knew an old-timer 1st war light horseman who removed the jaggered wheel spur and used a King George coin instead to be kind to his war horse.
Its 1 of my wife's valued possessions.
and probably worth a small fortune now.
