Yeah the stand isn't too bad for the price (~$150 ebay) but tends to wobble around a bit so you need another securing point near the top of the arm/tray, a bit like the RAM Mount ones. In that pic there is a ratchet strap securing it to the passenger seat. I tried a few other options which seemed to work ok too, a velcro strip on the back of the tray and then attach that to another piece of velcro stuck just above the radio head on the dash. Also the same thing over the second glove box in front of the passenger if I just wanted to use the laptop in the car for other things when stopped. Does make it a little difficult to access the radio controls, stubby lever etc...
I'm now just using the Hema Navigator 5 and TomTom in it's place, less clutter. The TomTom will be replaced by an Iphone4 soon running either TomTom, IGO8 or Navigon. The Route66 Street Nav on the Hema is still cr@p.![]()
Top rig, top setup, I love it, I love it, I love it ... can I have it??? LOLOLOL ... Top set of wheel mate!
'Wheels' I meant to write above (not wheel ... although they are alright individually too I reckon!! LOL)
Thanks BigRig
Found something out today about the front springs on the PAtrol. Originally they were going to be 60mm rasied height springs but I was nosing around under the Patrol today and they are actually Dobinson 75mm rasied springs part no. C45-108. Well I'll be....
Spell it with me ... give me a B ... give me an A ... give me an R ... give me a G ... give me an A ... give me an I ... give me an N .... what's it spell? BARGAIN!!!!!! Gotta love it when those things go your way ...
Love the flight deck mate, good to see someone who takes their 4WD'ing serious enough to ensure the amount of high tech gear on board removes any chance of carrying passengers!!! LOL
