    Gday Jurdy,

Nice truck you have there mate.

I have exactly the same model and am looking at fitting a snorkel to it but not sure if I need to replace the air fillter box or not.

Could you post some pictures of your snorkel setup please mate?

    Cheers,

    Rob

You don't need to replace the filter box
There is a adaptor that u put on but there is
A lot of cutting needed so a good hands on a grinder will b needed
Some modifying is need to your air box but take your

    Cheers Jurdy,

That gets me over the line. I wasnt sure if I had to replace the air box or not and wasnt sure if you could squeeze a pipe past it to connect to a snorkel throught the guard.

Safari make a complete set including the adapter that fits the original air box for the 2.8TD in the GQ's so Im going to go with that one.

    Thanks for the help mate.

    Cheers,

    Rob

dear rob safari have one that comes with a new air box.
if i was you i would get a quote for that as well because if it
an extra 150 i would run with the new box it would b so much
better. no mater what they say use a lot of sealent on the connections
best thing is roof and guter selicon its flexable and it wont rust unlike
    normal slicon.
i say roof and guter silicon because its A neutral curing (non acid)
it also does not absorb water.
make sure a good hole saw is used so it cuts the metal
not rips it. i have seen bad out come from cheap hole saw being
    used.
u will also need to take your air box out to drill the hole in to
    the inside gard.
DON"T FORGET TO FISH OIL OR REPAINT ANY HOLD DRILLED
    OR CUT .
good thing to is mask up the full gard then make the holes on
    the tape and this
provents the paint around the holes ripping off when your are
    drilling the holes.

iv put 3 snorkels on now and all turned out really well.
so dont think twise to ask questions anyone.

ill be looking for a full report rob so good luck and best
    regards jurdy.
