    Heavy duty springs definately a better option than spring spacers. With the extra weight of the winch and battery your front coil springs are compressed, over bigger bumps the springs can compress further to the point where they become a solid block (spring bind) transfering the shock directly to the chassis. While fitting spring spacers will raise the front of your car the possibillity spring bind is still there. Heavy duty springs on the other hand will give you the height and the load carrying capacity to handle the weight.
