I would be looking at getting an aftermarket temp gauge, I did and I has helped with monitoring alot more than the factory one.

I reckon you should start with all fluids and filters and then to start to work on brake fluid, power steering fluids and such

    Hi Mate,
As everyone else has said, change all oil's and record when and what u changed for future reference. Flush cooling system and change coolant, check hardness of all hoses, no need to change them all if they are still ok, mines done 310k and coolant hoses are still ok.

One thing people always miss is the fan belts. pulley condition, and the idler pulley bearing, cost about $4 from a bearing shop and will stop a head ache later on down the road.

I'm a heavy diesel mechanic so i have an advantage i spose, but if i wasnt 100% sure, i would get the car fully checked over by RACQ/NRMA depending on what state your in, they legally have to do a full thorough check and I know from experience from others they do a really good job and they will let you know what needs changing and what doesn't, or what your should change just in case. Also only cost about $200.

    Cheers,
    Shaun...
