    aluminium radiator

hey guys i just bought a aluminium radiator from aussie desert coolers, i have bottle of genuine nissan coolant laying around and was wondering if it was safe to use in this radiator as i dont want the thing corroding on me if i use this coolant. the bloke told me to use GMH inhibitor to suit VN Commodore. cheers in advance

Interesting dilema, do you use the coolant Nissan recommend to protect their engines or the coolant the radiator manufacture recommends for their radiator? You should be safe to use either. If your engine is a TD42 I would probably use the GM coolant to protect your radiator warranty, TD42's are pretty tough. Your choice.

it should arrive today so i can take photos then but what i have been told is that the standard has 2 rows of 10mm core and this one have a single row of 42mm core so its equivalent to a 4 row radiator and its suppose to bolt straight in, (we'll see) it was only $750 plus postage.

Nice, why did you change over? was your radiator knackered or did you have over heating issues? How is the improvement?

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
