Surely there might be a member from Vic here that might wiegh about 120kg, might prefer leather, might have a bit of ink done and might own a motor cycle that he might enjoy a riding to a certain business to do a little persuading that a TPS on its way to Tassi might make him go away. Just a thought.

Thanks for all your support guys. Yeah Im not one to get angry quickly, its takes a bit, and i make sure i have a reason first but yeah this transaction happened exactly how i have written it down. Im just really upset. Id only owned the GQ for a month. I did all the right things, i stated exactly what i wanted clearly and double checked verbally by phoning him. I paid promptly. I waited patiently. I was understanding when i got the wrong bit, i waited patiently again, etc etc you've read it anyway!

Good news is: after purchasing a new TPS..... THE PATROL IS READY AND WAITING FOR ME I pick her up wednesday!!

(can i name the local mechanic that has done an awesome job, who i am totally happy with?)lol

Thats probably the best idea. Good thinking ferret.

These are the emails. I might be coming accross as a bit bitter but thats because im am. Wreckers responses in bold ( i have only removed his name and my bank/address details) The first email says it all.

Message: Hi, I am in urgent need of a carby or base of a carby (including throttle position switch) to suit a 91 GQ TB42 Auto. I have recently purchased the vehicle only to find that it has a carby off a manual therefore is missing the throttle position switch. The carby has been fully rebuilt (with receipts) so i would like to retain it and just change the base to an auto carby. So Im looking for the base of an auto carby (including throttle position switch) or a complete auto carby. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Lucas

Don't be dismayed by some of the idiots in this world mate. I also had a dealing with a Nissan specialist in Vic, probably the same one, where I asked for a specific dashboard for my gu. After giving specific details such as passenger side airbag and colours still to this day didnt get the right one. Over a period of almost 3 months i got 2 non passenger airbag dash's and then a the right dash in the wrong colour. Lies about postage dates just began to crap me off. I even offered to pick it up in person when i was picking my new ute up in melb, but was told it had been sent all to find out it hadnt. To the admin of this forum, maybe it's time to amend the rules and regs of the forum and include a name and shame section so more of our good members here don't get ripped off by these types of idiots. Anyone that is interested in more details, please pm me to keep it out of the public forum

    Regards bakes

Ps. Sorry taslucas for hijacking your thread , but I like you have needed to vent.

I agree with Plassy, give him a chance to give his side of the story and if he's not interested then let all know who he is for future reference.
