That releases the Stabaliser(Sway Bar) in the rear of the Patrol to allow for more Flex(Wheel Travel) when Off Road.
Would not advise Driving on normal Roads with this released

Bro is there any problem if the lever released while running?if I use it on bumpy on road?
Sway bars are used to reduce body roll and increase stabillity on road, especially important as speed rises. The downside is swaybars also reduce axle articulation off road which is why Nissan fitted the swaybar disconnect. Disconnecting it on bumpy roads has no real benefit, use it for serious 4WDing.
Tony
my sway bars got taken out when I lifted it and it still hasn't gone back in even though it back 2 pretty much standard, I personally didn't find it made a huge difference having it in there or not.
Time is never wasted when your wasted all the time
WARNING: Towballs used for recoveries can, and do kill people and damage property.
Is it call '5 link rigrid axle coil spring' which are found on high spec safaris like granroad?
spewin mine has not got that
