has any one used 50mm coil spacers? are these a good thing or waste of money and time and jst better off buying longer coils? anny help appreciated.

It really depends largely on your budget & your intended use of your Patrol mate.
If your looking for general rule of thumb here them its go with new springs & be done with it but others have used coil spacers & found them quite ok for mild 4x4ing applications.
Keep in mind though, 2" lift is not an expensive step up & coil spacers or springs you will still need to change you shocks to suit so way up the cost & I think you'll find its not a great deal more to go new springs.

Springs everytime over spacers for me mate as patch said either way ya really wanna match ur shocks to suit
