Well, I've done it again! Thought about what else needs doing to my truck!

We've (mostly the missus) has changed the design of my annex.

It's still gunna come out 3 metres on the left hand side, but, there's gunna be a 1 metre addition towards the passenger door to allow space for a shower and dunny.

MY rule will be no going to the dunny, in a confined space, on a hot day. lol. That's what the great outdoors is for. To embrace nature and smell the gum leaves. lol

and, I HAVE decided that we need an awning, so we're gunna have one 5m long x 3m deep that goes from the end extremity of the annex to the back right hand side of the pod.

The missus dropped a bombshell by saying she wants new seats in the cab! Cough, splutter. The originals aren't comfortable enough! Really, how much room is there in a ute for tall people anyway? lol

Got it measured up yesterday and gunna drop it off in a couple of weeks for it all to happen. Unfortunately I won't see the work in progress until the finished product, coz I'll be in the big smoke, but I'm hoping the canvas people will get some pics.

Space is now an issue. The price for the mod is looking more like a small camper, but we chose not to get a camper. We're also gunna ditch the double bed inner spring and get a very good quality foam matress, so that we can put all our stuff on the floor of the pod and put the matress on top.

Inflatable matresses are out. I don't want to be bounced out of bed when the missus rolls over. Remember the old waterbeds when they first came out? "Dear, have you taken your seasick pill yet"? lol

What a great idea - a water bed that doubles as a fresh water supply! lol - not at the moment, thanks - I'm drinking too much water to get a comfortable night's sleep and don't want to end up sleeping on cold aluminium!

    Take care, and stay tuned.

    A quick update.....

Ditched the inner spring and got a good quality foam matress Works well, yet to be christened. Now I can stick all the stuff on the floor and matress on top. It's unbelievable how much space there is in those pods.

Only 2 more sleeps and I leave it at the canvas shop and pick it up the following 3 weeks with a 4m annex - including room for a dunny and shower. Apparently soap and canvas aren't good friends, so the shower is gunna be PVC. We're gunna have an awning from the end of the annex to the other side of the back of the truck - a total of 5m of annex.

    I'm getting excited.

    Take care out there.

Sounds like a great addition Rosscoe,
Will love to see the pics of the finished set up.
There is heaps of room in the pods as you said, I love mine and will never stop
    tinkering with mods and additions.

You won't know yourselves with all that room!
Great idea with the shower and toilet too.

A quick update on the annex/awning............................

The supplier sent the wrong type of zip, so I'm gunna have to wait. Hopefully pick it up on Friday 07th October.

Apparently there's 17 zips in it. Gunna take a bit of getting used to. lol

    Will talk soon.

    Take care out there.
