I ended up splashing out for a decent one during the dyno run tho sort it out. All good now but i went a good brand Turbo Smart Boost Controller.

Could you post a link to the controller you have now please. I'm all for learning from other peoples experience.

Not exactly the same as this but close

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/TURBOSMAR...#ht_1438wt_907

the spring in that other one was like they had made their own spring without tension in it, when we wound it in that was that. did not rebound so useless. I kinda put it down to "you get what you pay for" the boost controller serves a fairly important function so i bit the bullet.

    Cheers, hope that helps.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

We're doing this in your best interests AB, you wouldn't want us recommending inferior parts for Bluey now would you? Haha.

Just thought I would put this on the forum for anyone else installing a turbo...

    Two photos below...

One is of the original oil feed braided hose that I ran a little too close to the manifold. I think the hose could last for about 220 degrees celcius but being only 10mm away from the manifold and actually touching the flange where it meets the dump pipe is way too close.

Second photo shows the braided hose now running up higher, away from the heat. Looks extremely ugly but I prefer reliability over prettiness...lol

I don't think It's a problem that the oil feed has to travel up hill for a bit before it reaches the turbo as It will be pressure fed.

Getting ye ol Bluey tuned up with the turbo and replace the O ring on the injector pump this Monday so very excited to see how it performs after that!

I just went down to the shops to get pizza for the family and found myself revving the engine and tapping the accelerator inbetween gears like a w@nker....I can't help but love this new turbo and exhaust..LMAO

Look out folks there is a new tool on the street that thinks he's cool...lol

    Loving it Fletch!

Big clean up day today with Bluey. When I took the rear draws out a month ago and put them in the shed I just opened it up last night to find mice have been in and eaten every single 2 minute noodle pack.

They even ate sugar and jams, toilet paper and poo'd all through the draws...lol...Bloody mice!!!!
