average Gav, kids have givin me the flu / cold / there germs what ever it is i get since i had kids, that combined with w is wearing me down, but relaxing with a bourbon now so all good. Got a price on overhauling my GQ auto gearbox $2100.00 thats doing it myself, mind you it does include an extreme valve body not sure what path i am going 2 take yet. And no Kat I'm not buying a GU! *L*

What was wrong with it?

for a while it was holding 2nd gear when cold but when warm it would change fine, but now won't change out of 2nd at all need 2 test the TCU first 2 eliminate that, as i use 2 do a fair bit of river crossing and it wouldn't surprise me if water has gotten into the TCU, just trying 2 eliminate other things even now the gearbox could probable do with an overhaul

If you owned a mighty GU, there wouldnt be a problem !!

would be if the TCU box is in the same spot on the auto GU'S, doe's GU's run a TCU or is it it the ECU these days????
