RD28T engine installed and all buttoned up (99% anyway) Bonnet installed and fixed the Alt circuit fuse, 75a, short issue. Turns out that I had connected the loom correctly. It was the second hand alternator from the donor motor was the issue where the main positive cable bolts to the post on the alternator. This post is supposed to have a plastic insulator around it and this was broken. Swapped the Alt for my original which is intact and all now working.

Only a few jobs to go:

    1. Install tensioner pulley, for the AC condenser, and belt
    2. Gas the AC system
    3. Install the repaired front grille
    4. Install the headlights and indicators
    5. Drop the gearbox and install a new clutch plate for the HD exedy clutch kit and ribbed flywheel. (The clutch plate that was on the donor motors gearbox doesn't fit the input shaft on my gearbox)
    6. Replace the clutch slave cylinder (One of the apprentices pushed the clutch in when it wasn't connected to the clutch fork and pushed the piston all the way out and blew the seals.)

Too hot to work on it anymore. Will have to work on it in the evenings this week.
Just about to jump into my next Patrol. A 2001 GU II TB45E .

WARNING!: Do not ever use a towball as a recovery point. They are not rated and can become a deadly projectile during a recovery if they snap off, and they have done so with tragic results in the past.
