Auto hubs staying locked when 2wd is selected

Hi everyone, I have a problem, have looked around for a solution about this and it appears no one has really had this problem. unless I have missed a thread.

I got some new tyres 33' bighorns (awesome!) noticed my bearings were a bit loose, tightened them up, went for a blast at the back of my place and everything was fine until i put it on the hoist at work to give the underbelly a wash. I double checked my wheel bearings an noticed that the front drive shaft was turning when both the front wheels got turned, i double checked that the hubs were in auto and that it was in 2wd.

Some advice on what to do would be great. I am thinking about turning them into manual hubs i read about on another thread but would prefer if it was a case of I didnt line them up after doing my bearings.

    Thanks,
    SBR

auto hubs can stay locked on and is apparently common in the GU's according to my mechanic he said always make sure that when finished 4wding drive in reverse for a bit in 2wd to make sure they are unlocked.

changing them to manual hubs is a good idea also and easy to do i would recomend ARB's AVM hubs they are priced right and are basicly they are plug and play i used them on my old paj and it did change the way the old paj drove huge improvement.

And you have to reverse straight back, you can't have the wheels turned.
