At last. Your turn TD. The bay is on a walking track on the western side, behind the Portland smelter. You need to go down Thistle Road which is sometimes submerged in winter. I have never been down to the bay because those in charge have blocked access. Also the track along a 10 metre drop has collapsed.

The tour guide there was named Wingy because of his big Ears.
we only went there because we could get out of the heat,
it goes down a fair way too and you need to keep popping your ears.

Yeah got all that I have a 12 mp camera,, a cheap video.. a Aldi Gropro thinghy.
just never get around to taking photos, As it is now its easier to lay down than stand and take a pic.
Its a PITB literally and a real chore just standing after sitting, and thats at camp.

It's the old pumping station grounds. The beautiful stone building situated on the cliff edge over looking the blue lake use to house the pumps which supplied the town's water.
Now it's a very popular spot for weddings.
So bob you were closest. Literally across the road lol.

No I have been there. It near Porpunku by memory. The Buckland Valley, Buffalo river and surrounding areas I absolutely love. Been losely looking at property out that way.
Especially down Rose River way. Im in heaven there.
