    Pet hate.....

Looked out the kitchen window this morning to see chook feathers scattered around the back yard.
2 still alive, 5 dead, 3 missing presumed dead. Fox/s dug a hole under the gate and had a meal break!

Spewing, coz the chooks were laying between 7 - 9 eggs a day.

No good Rossco. Just about to finish mine this weekend.

Rather then trench the fence underground to stop foxes I have ran the fence along the ground out from each wall by about 3 foot so they can't dig under.

Foxes can climb anything and dig with ease.

Time for the double barrel mate.

Yeah that sucks big time, we shoot the bloody things constantly on my brothers farm for trying to do just that.

Bloody bastard things, I hate to think how many chooks & ducks my brothers lost, not to mention lambs.

Great idea. It was a kick in the guts for me coz they were like 'family'. Will wait a while for the motivation to lift before I get any more. One of the remaining 2 has battle scars and is scared of its own shadow. Give it time and she'll come good.

I love animals and always make sure their death is quick and humane but My misses cracks it when I try to run over a rabbit.

Little does she know that "OUR" native animals are really struggling.

I can't even remember the last time i saw a wombat without mange and everytime i see the poor buggers trying to cross the road in slow motion it cheeses me off.

    This is my pet hate!

Can't stand seeing these guys in pain.

    Imagine itching yourself to death.

Imagine how much unreal wildlife we'd have without these b@stards.

Only partly right Plassy. Circle of life means digo will keep population explosions under some control. True they can be menace on sheep stations etc. But, proper wild dingo is very unsure of human habitats, and only come close enough for easy feed. Camels should be harvested for meat trade. The rest should be allowed to be shot by land owners. Roos are supposedly in plague nos. But most unlicensed shooters would not be able to identify each specie of macropod. If it hops it's a roo even if it is an endangered specie of wallaby.

So while I hear what you are saying, we need to find true solutions for each pest.
