    From GU to Y62

After owning and modifying it for 18 years, I finally decided to let my 2001 TD42T converted GU go to someone will use it more than me.
It has been replaced by a 2023 Y62 Ti-L which is probably more suited to my 80 year old driving style.

Couple of pics of old & new. Quality of pics was better but had to shrink them down for the forum.

Noice choice. I've been in TPCs 62 and it had awesome power and torque.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

It’s a bit intimidating when you approach it from the front. It’s a totally different car to drive to the GU although I’ve only driven it for about an hour since picking it up on Friday.

I have to start taking the rear apart shortly to fit a towbar.

    Welcome to the 62 club.
They are stunning to drive ay.
    Best analogy I’ve heard is it’s a v8 powered lounge chair…
    So true!!

Congratulations John. Can imagine how happy is the new GU owner as well.
What is the shield picture on the right of the license plate? The one on the left is your homeland for sure, just couldn't identify the other.

The red shield with the white cross is the Swiss flag and the shield on the left side is the coat of arms of Geneva. My wife and kids are swiss and we lived in Geneva for over 20 years.
If you google Geneva number plates you'll see those shields on each side of the "GE 12345". It's just a reminder of a really good part of my life and sometimes serves to make contact with any Swiss person who recognises them.

All the swiss number plates have the flag on one side and the coat of arms of the particular canton where the car is registered.
My wife's Kia has them as well.
