    Rugged 180 deg awning

I am considering a Rugged Platinum 180 deg Awning. Its 2m wide from the car and a massive 6.5m long. Its got gas rams to assist with opening and closing the end wings. I will need to install with their adjustable brackets to get the height right to fit under the garage door.

Has anyone purchased one of these or any of the Rugged awnings?

They have design compliance to an Australian standard - think its a wind and UV rating, plus are rated at UV95+ with a 300gram ripstop material. Its a free standing style with tie down poles when windy. My brother has a Darche 270 Deg and with poles and ropes it stood up without issue to 90km/hr sustained wind load in the snow recently - would not have believed it unless I saw it.

All up its a $1500 investment, so keen to understand any issues. I will add he wall kit down the track but maybe start with a couple of panels for wind and rain block.
