Hi all. I am a mechanic by trade but havent done it for a few years. Bought a GU patrol with a faulty head or head gasket (new it had an issue) and am now in the process of fixing it. It looked like head gasket and took the head in to get it tested and machined if the test was OK as it was. When I got it back (apparently they had to do 2 or 3 runs to face it) the first valve has some taken off it. All the other valves look OK but this one is protruding approx .457mm. I have the thickest head gasket but to me this looks like it will be an issue. I have attached some photos which I hope show it better. The photo showing the ruler on the face (checked the ruler on the block and it was flat) shows the area i took the reading (approx 140mm point.
Your thoughts apprciated.
