electric cooling fan - scangauge3 - 2010 CRD service manual
G'day all,
I am replacing the viscous fan hub on my 2010 crd.
Seems an easy job but want to check up in the workshop manual. The link for the CRD supplement on this page doesn't work, is there a download I can buy online that isn't shit?
Question: did all the CRD have an electric fan? from what I can see it is supposed to be behind the grill just behind the bonnet latch, am I going mad or am I missing an electric fan ? see pic attached.
Just in case this is useful to anyone: I connected a scangauge3 the other day and it has some pretty good info including boost, coolant temp, fuel flow and engine load. My truck is an auto, and it has been interesting to see the difference in engine load with the "Power" button on/off and not using overdrive during normal driving (to/from work). I'm looking forward to seeing how all this plays out when towing or sand driving. Any advice regarding using the A/T "properly" is very welcome.
