I stand corrected Mr Mark Mate, Well Done!
Sounds like it could be a handy fitting to keep onboard if it ever was to easily happen to us all out there.
Was it simply something like this you used to keep rolling Mate?

Exactly mate. Just can't remember the size I used. I think it was a 1/8 NPT thread with a 1/4" barb from memory. I drilled out the hole first to suit the thread I was going to tap first, just like you would when tapping a metal thread...
