Cheers Alex but you missed the "fog" bit. Have plenty of light coming out the front, but need a bit of low and wide light to go with the low beams to illuminate the edges of the road close by when the weather turns to shyt. Something I can use with oncoming traffic....
Most of the bumper mounted fog lights I am seeing require a square or rectangular hole so drilling might not work.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Hey aren't fog (yellow) lights illegal now??? Driving lights, like those small, normal light, lights usually under the bumper are OK.
A mate told me a trick when cutting ally. Spray WD40, CRC etc where you're going to cut, makes it like a hot knife through butter.
..
I replaced the "fog/driving" lights on the factory trol steel bar that were quoted as $450+ from Nissan with a $160 pair from Stedi ... OMG the difference .. there is more light from these 2 little suckers than the low beam and it's low and wide .. defo worth a shot. i know what ya mean as well. Tracks, trails and the beach it's nice to have that low and wide spread. I have the big lightbar up top for a bigger field of view but the little fogs work a treat
