Hi all
I have the usual squeaky and sagged GQ upper front door hinge that I need to replace.
Just wondering if I can I fit a spanner or socket in and remove it with the guard still in place?
Cheers

Bit fiddly but yeah you can. Well on the GU you can...
Yes, I did it on two of mine.
As Mudski said, it is a bit fiddly but IIRC an appropriate extension with a uni knuckle adapter gets the job done... ratchet ringy with the adjustable angle handle helps as well
Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.
I recently did my upper hinge without removing the guard. Very fiddly but doable.

Thanks guys, I'll give it a shot!
FWIW: I remember a member (‘GQ42TD’ -I think) kindly posted up a while ago a neat trick of using a medium to large size step ladder straddling his GQ open door with some little ratchet straps to assist weight and as a second set of hands on his lonesome

I've had some success with packing washers on the bottom hinge. Easy to put in too.
