Bought an 89 GQ and after driving it and then going back to another car I realise the gear stick is VERY loose. In gear it feels like its in neutral. Any suggestions? Car has 306,000 kms on it.
Hey mate there is a bush ontop of the gearbox which the stick sits in. Couple of bits to it from memory which you can replace pretty easily just need to take carpet up from around gear knots and remove the cover plate. Patrolapart or online will sell the kits think i might have done a write up here maybe not sure if I can i find it or not. .
