14 cents a litre dearer, how can that be?

Diesel over here is almost always dearer at approx $1.36/ lt. ULP today is approx $1.16/lt, but tomorrow will start the cycle again and go up to around $1.40 and then get cheaper again each day. Hence the reason I drive around in a 3.5lt Petrol Paj instead of the Patrol.

I know it's pretty unwise to talk about politics and I want to stay neutral, I have no interest in debating 1 party Vs the other etc, but, is it just me thinking this or has Scott Morrison & the Libs lost the plot?

He was talking about people smugglers and boat people last night as if it that's front and centre of everyone's minds, maybe it is, but I don't think so.

Massive rain in Nth QLD, massive rain in California, exceedingly low temps in Chicago (-46 I heard with wind chill). Our country I'm sure is getting drier, NSW declared 100% in drought.

Prediction that all insects could be extinct in 100 years, if that happens, we'll be behind them. That's the beginning of the end of the planet's food chain.

I full up 8n my home town before i go anywhere,lucky enough to live in a country town where deisle is 15-20c litre cheaper than anywhere else.....even the city

Politics is a global “reality” game generated by combined media groups. The original concept was for teams to create a series of plans based on a budget. The winning team was then given three or four years to see how many of the targets they could meet. The game has morphed a little so that the winning team now tries to implement any plan at all while under attack from all other competitors including their own team. I think that’s it.

I guess the one saving grace is that we still have participative democracy rather than totalitarianism and revolution to change governments if we are not happy.

The way I see it is that our elected members no longer see their role as a representative of their constituents in parliament, but as a representative of their party/consortium/faction/group/whatever to their constituents.
And we no longer vote for the best option - rather we are forced to vote for the 'least-worse'.

If I could get my petrol side of things sorted, I reckon I could get 700 Ks with around $150 with of gas and petrol. Gas @.60c and petrol @1.15.
