we had one here on Friday,poor bugger never made the corner,rolled into a ditch at the end of a dam...he never made it,

Yep, saw the truck on the way back from yours..... Not good at all

Not angry, just very sad. A log truck has barrelled through a roadwork zone and collected some stationary cars. Thank god the school bus wasn't there. The ambulance helicopter circled our place looking for a landing place but they were able to get closer to the site.

Holy crap, where was this? Wonder if the truck was doing 100 or had slowed down a bit?

Just saw it in the local paper. That driver is in a world of trouble. 1 dead 4 in Melbourne.

At the biggest intersection in Portland Nth. There were roadwork signs set up for over 500m before the intersection and curve where the cars were waiting with the worker.

I was using the drill press in the shed, so didn't hear the crash.

I can only think this guy fell asleep, there are so many roadworks around the area you have to expect to come across some. Lots of drivers suffer from sleep aponea. He could have just dropped off without knowing. Hard to believe you'd be dumb enough to drive past so many signs.

There is so much speculation as what happened. It is disconcerting that so much effort is made to warn drivers of the roadworks and this still happens. Maybe they need to install yellow flashing lights on the signs or something. Cheap and visible.
