02 zd30 lack of performance

Hi Guys n Gals
Got a mate who has a 02 zd30 Patrol . It is standard , how do they perform ?
I don't know as mine has a few mods to make it go better .
We will be fitting a boost gauge tomorrow , what else can I look out for to fix his problem?
Has a new air n fuel filters ,changed IC as his was leaking and cleaned MAF .
Any suggestions please .

Unless you can get a scan gauge on it you would be guessing , ours only played up when the maf sensor was buggered and yeah low power .
But in an older grenade it could be anything from pots to injectors to pump to sensors etc, etc .
Ours is still pretty much stock except for 3" exhaust and goes like a rocket .

Hi peoples
Fitted boost gauge to mates patrol ,took it for a run 4psi max WTF !!!!!
Had a look under the bonnet saw turbo actuator wasn't moving when revved HMMM.
Checked a few things checked pipes ,start it up no sucky cause pipe came off with a nice big split down the side of it ,THAT"LL DO IT .
New hoses and she goes like a rocket ,hits 25 psi cruises at about 9 at 100klms .
