Looks like it just a dropped down? Can't see any drag marks in the dirt.

That was one of the main reason I got steelies after reading a few unfortunate stories

I can see plenty of drag through there...enlarge the pic and you can see the furrow and how the gravel is all flattened out aft of the rear axle.

Yes the nuts are a pita to check weekly but a necessary evil.
