Sadly my carpentry skills are very lacking in some part of the process.
"Measure once, have a beer, measure twice, have another beer, measure a third time and average the three different measurements during a beer break.
Commence first cut and another beer, mark where it doesn't fit, have a beer and cut again.
Have a beer while wondering why it still won't fit, finish another Beer and try another cut then throw the resulting abortion on the wood pile and sulk while finishing the Carton."

If I ever figure out where I am going wrong I'll definitely give that drawer table idea a crack
