Shimano 1000 works well, great rod for either bream or trout IMO ,even Gar off the pier
I always used it a small mitchell spinning reel but they are in the pool room now lol

I went up to swansea...east coast tassie last week got a heap of nice flatties and a nice gummy too.
Meant to get scallops but the compressor broke a weld on first dive...bugger!
Snapped axle on boat trailer too...one of those trips!

The hardest part of a new place is finding the fish....last 3 days i have fished the one spot as i had a few good runs on the live bait rod....lost a good mulloway and a few sharks....lots of whitting around for live baiting and today caught enough to bring a feed home...Karratha is a hard spot for lanbase
