Hello all. Glad to be part of the group, and a big thanks to those already helped me getting started.
"Project Patrol" is an exercise I've taken on with 3 main goals:
1) Buy, put on the road, and maintain a worthy country touring vehicle on a very modest budget.
2) (Also the main purpose) To trial, test and develop various modifications and accessories, particularly those that have had varying and questionable results, for the older - petrol driven engines.
Having "tinkered" with engines most of my life, still keep an open mind, learn some more & have some fun doing it.
3) Discover Aus!, Beaches & out-back. Trialling & testing in the real world just means I'll just have to find those soft beach dunes, rocky tracks, and muddy rain-forests; plus meet all the folk, characters and stories along the way.
Worked on plenty of cars through the years, but this is my first Patrol (1989 GQ TB42 Auto 7seat Wagon). I'm fairly new to on-line and forums, so apologies for any wrong etiquette.
See ya's on the bush tracks, Cheers
