Y61 end date.

I was under the wrong impression that the last Australian dated Y61 was late 2014 or early 2015. Yesterday, while visiting a new local 4WD shop I noticed a shiny new Y61 in the workshop. I asked the manager what year it was as it looked shiny new. He said that he was surprised as it has a October 2016 make plate. I thought it strange that Nissan would be making an Australian spec, October built Y61, when their no longer selling them here.

There are a heap of new ones shown on carsales

Quite a few in a number of dealers but this is the last supply of these

All it needed was a new motor and good for 10 more years

Apparently he visited a few dealers around Melbourne and they had none, and told him very few left on the continent.
I think they were just trying to shove Y62 down his throat.

Apparently the end of 2016 I`ve read of the Y61 ending. I did read some where on the computer that there are around 300 Legend Patrols are made with extras which I forget what they are.

You are correct. Just read about the 300 Legend Patrols. Don't know if there's still 300 left now, but I just came across one at my local Nissan dealer. They are the same specs as my 2014 Titanium model, steel bull bar, Warn winch, snorkel, Rhino roof rack, floor mats, plastic bonnet guard, up-graded stereo inc. nav sat. The only other extra is a soft spare wheel cover. Manual :$57.990 Auto : $60,250

Not much in the difference then between the two. The only thing you can say is that you have one of 300 if you bought one.

oh i been spying one of them down here.....only looked and thought OH berry nice...manjimup must be lucky enough to have one...funny that i asked them for nearly a year for a nice 2nd hand patrol; and ended up doing 1000km and heaps of phone calls just to get an updated model from the old faithful QG
