This guy from France did a complete rebuild from the chassis up and posted a heap of pictures as he did it.

I am having difficulty accessing the photo though.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.
He lifted the body from the chassis then completely cleaned and cut the rust out of it. After welding in patches, he used a really good paint for the chassis.
The body work was done carefully and the resulting paint job was almost show quality.
Still can't get the pics to work though.

I lifted the cab off The Pig with a forklift. Looks like you have one with fork slippers just pad said slippers and easy peasy. Reckon you'll lose the screen tho'.
Best to remove all the glass you can!
