    Dag Nabbit Post Trip Downers

Just got back from 2 weeks away and 3 states.

Used my first GoPro and have some stuff I'd like to share online, but it'll take longer than the 2 weeks away to upload it to Youtube with our Internet, never took that into consideration.

To answer some of my pre trip questions & some unasked questions ...

1 - Yes you can safely carry jerry cans on their side on a roof rack without them leaking
2 - You can carry 2 swags in a roof rack bag
3 - Yes, WA is a bloody long way from Vic
4 - The Old Eyre Highway is a must (I reckon) when crossing the nullabor
5 - There are plenty of free camping spots across the nullabor
6 - I must buy some Maxtrax, winching using salt bushes is bloody useless
    7 - I must buy a winch extension strap, I only needed another 10 - 15 feet
8 - The worts roads in Australia are here in South West Vic.

Ha ha! All that way to find you really do need a 4WD to drive on our local "paved" roads.

Yeah, I already knew it. Every time I come back from interstate or even anywhere else in the state, it hits you smack in the face. Came back from My Gambier yesterday, that road is being mashed right up. The log trucks just destroy it. Oh well, I guess we only have to put up with them for another 10 years.

There was a story in the local rag, this week, that a company is running new wood chip trucks that are 31 metres long.
