With the ZD30 TPS, this is mounted on the pedal, theres a trick you can do to bring them back to life. Which is drill a small hole in the side of the TPS, and use some electronic parts cleaner and spray this in the hole and give the contacts a clean out.. Think of the contacts in a TPS like the contacts on a fuel sender. Works in a similar way. Sort of, but you get the drift...
But, if the TPS is shot I would think the car wouldn't run right the whole time. If you have yet, I would change over the plugs and leads first, the cheapest things, then look at the pump.
but its wierd how you have to pump the pedal when its fuel injected. Which makes me think the TPS.
