    Engine light on 3.0DI

    Hi all was just wondering if anyone knew or have had a engine light on the 3.0 turbo while in the bush oy comes on after a while of driving in the bush then when back on road turn car off leave for 5 mins come back turn car back on its fine has done this more then 2 times now and is confusing me my car also has Dawes valve boost gadge and egt gadge doesn't loose boost when this happens ether just random light

    When was the last time you changed your fuel filter, disconnect the battery while you do it, as well
    Re do your engine bay earths while your at it,,,
    04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

    The engine light display usually is from water in the fuel filter --unless you have a real problem. Check the Nissan manual on the routine for dealing with this--basically drain the filter (don't take the drain nut fully out!!) pump fuel through the filter by hand before you close the drain, close the drain then run engine. You may need to rev it up a few times if it runs rough. Might be a good time to change the filter as threedogs says.
