Question What is this handle for ?

    I just bought a 1989 GQ Safari.
On the lower left hand side from the steering wheel is a small 'T' shaped Chrome pull handle. The seller had no idea what it is for ... neither do I .
Anyone able to shed some light on that ?

    THANKS !!

    J.

Ok sorry mate, its just your description sounds like its aftermarket (DIY) so I was just having a stab in the dark. I suppose you have tried the obvious and tried to see what is connected to it?

... another vote for rear sway bar disconnect
Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.

I thought the larger black handbrake type 'pull/twist' handle under the dash is that sway-bar disconnect. Have not tried that yet.
That small chrome knob does not seem to do anything but looks very intriguing.
I'm trying to find a user manual to shed some light in this all .
    Thanks

Does not do anything I can see happen , but it looks very original , not the kind of DIY thing.
