Smaller wheels on 2013 Y61

Hey guys,
I'm about to get my truck a new set of boots, and want to put them on a set of steel rims.

Ideally I was looking at R15, but i'm hearing now that you can put anything smaller than an R17 on the 2013 ST Wagon...anyone know of anything different. I hear the brake calipers will be in the way but i'm guessing that is something offset can fix?

and lastly, I have a 2' lift and that has seemed to pull the front wheel back a fair way I see that snake racing, has Radius Arm Spacers can I please get some feed back on these...

15's are definitely out on a 2013..
I think a 16" steel fits but best to check before buying..
I'm personally keeping my 17's.. prices are dropping all the time because the normal is getting bigger..

Very unlikely to fit 15s. Not sure why you want to fit 15s anyway if your buy new rims? If you had a set already then give it a go, if your buying then there is no need.

I have 16s on my GUIV. Not sure if there is any difference between mine and yours? I don't have ABS so I can't comment on your brakes but I'm sure there are plenty of guys running 16s. 16" tyre a are still pretty cheap, 17s are silly prices still.

X 2 with MR tyre prices especially 17" are ridiculas
16" are the go if touring the Outback,285's would
be the size most would pick , and very affordable lol

Fwiw i run 16 s on my gu4 2005. Price of a 17 tyre in 33 x5 was more than a price of 33 in 16 x5 including steel rims . It was a no brainer.
As far as I know gu patrol can't take 15 inch rims due to brakes.

Interesting question and answers. You've not said why you want to change. Is simply cost and availability? Would you need any instrument changes??
Had 2 tyre sizes over 2 models and haven't really considered costs. Assume more K's out of the larger tyre but the mothers are probably charging such a premium that it would offset any extra distance. Well, at least 'till a larger market pulls the price back to fair.
Reckon 3D's comments are on the mark.

a mate of mine has a set of 35's on 15's and I put one of the front, they fit, His wheels had a pretty aggressive offset. but they do fit.

I have decided, to go 33's on 16's. i'm going to fit a radius arm spacer, anyone done this anyone got any advice?

Easy enough to do but can be heavy work if you are alone. You may need someone to roll the diff forward to get the bolts in etc.

I have a brand new set of spacers I have never fitted I'd be interested in selling. I have Drop Boxes with the spacer built in so have no need for them. If your interested let me know.
