Yep. We have a 7kg front loader. Just us 2 and the little man. Generally 3 loads a week. Water is free from the sky here.

Yes mate, our old one was a 7.5kg, missus pretty much had a load on every day, what with the 2 girls school uniforms, normal clothes, mine and my missus work clothes and the 3 year old boy. 8.5kg isnt much of a jump up in size but I would hope that the am I of loads should decrease a little. Plus the machine should be a bit more efficient with power and water use.

Wanted to get a 10kg jobbie but time was of the essence (lots of washing building up) and basically got what we could afford, what space we had available and what they had in stock. It arrived today and have just installed it and pretty impressed with how quiet it is.

The dishwasher has packed in now, so am on the hunt for a heater element for it.

Tumble dryer is on the way out too

    I only got the EP1000
Couldn't justify the extra price they are asking for what just looks like a facelift...

The added wall thickness on the ep2000 conserves heat for %13-18 percent longer and also they threw in a years subscription to Better Teas monthly. But you're right it's still running the ep1000 subframe.
