This will sound pretty dumb, but I just realized my exhaust system isn't running a cat lol. When it was ordered and fitted, I can't remember being asked about one ??? I've been concerned about not running a muffler the whole time (which is now back on)... but the CAT never crossed my mind.
Was outside earlier, trying to re-do some mounts to push it away from the shaft and then it occurred to me... Wheres the cat? lol

Stock purposes means stock. Running the ht18 at 17psi is getting up there and is more than likely outside of its efficiency range so the stock ic job is now a little harder than before. They will handle the pressure as I have run a stock one at 30psi (stock ic).

Will be interested of your thoughts after a a few weeks of operation.

I will report back as I go along mate.
I'm off to have a look at a HPD intercooler on saturday. It's the stage 2 larger version with the big scoop. This one is second hand, off a mangled 4.2Ti ute, but missing the piping... and the scoop is white so.... fingers crossed.

No there are diesel catalytic converters on newer model cars.

Yeah as Matt said newer diesels have the cat and/or that diesel particulate filter burn off thing. ..

First highway report is its a different car that's for sure. When I got up in the 70kmh + range it went like shit of a shovel in contrast to before the tune. It was a mild morning and egts were kept very tame as well.
Happy so far. Will see how she goes later ...

Very keen to see this hpd ic I might have lined up for my self with the scoop. Just getting in touch with hpd to get a hose set might prove interesting after the phone call I just made ...

I've cancelled the order on the cheapo thought I'd do it right the first time.

Under the hood would there be any difference between a wagon td42ti or a ute td42ti ?

The IC setup I'm eyeing is off a td42ti ute brackets and all ... just want to confirm before I take the plunge .
