A terrible vibration has developed in the rear.. hard to tell where it is coming from but is faint in third as the revs increase and 4th gear is awful with 5th also being crap.. only days before going away and all the businesses being shut.

check the inside wall of your tyres it may have a big bulge

Yikes. I guess you can start by trying to determine if its a speed thing or a revs thing or a load thing and go from there. Look at us, trying to give you advice... Hope you sort it mate.

Spending at least an hour in the stinking heat trying to get the back bolt in the alternator on my old mans Patrol, what a sh!t design that is!!!

@ Ba did you sort the vibration out, could even be a loose wheel.
Might have to do that loosen the bell housing and stall it ib 5th to re align things a bit
