righto! as per Rocket55's recommendation Newnes would be the place to stay, it will be reasonably busy there over an Australia day weekend, but there are around 5 footy fields worth of camp space there so we should be able to get a spot to fit who ever comes. This would be the spot we will be likely to find a nice spot for us all.

im speaking to a couple of other mates who have been up there abit and will get back to this thread when i know more about the area ie tracks etc.
