Simple job really, start the shit truck, ensure the waste tank is empty and Rakasan tanks full, drive up, park under outlet and chock wheels, climb up on the service platform, attach hoses to big silver bird, empty waste and replenish flushing tanks, disconnect and bugger off..

The RAAF truck was a Qantas hand me down from about 1930 something.
It had two things that you usually noticed right away, one was the bullet holes from the Jap air attacks in 1942.
The other was that, 40 years later, how worn the clamps and hose adapters were.
Soooo most people would double check hoses, triple check hoses, get someone else to double check hoses, mumble obscenities, close eyes, hunch shoulders, deeeeeep breath, pull lever.... well, someone has got too and the old hands and us NCO's sure weren't going to do it.

Anyway, one particular night the new guy only noticed the bullet holes...

And that, my friends is how we found out that as far as Ag and Customs is concerned someone being covered in about 400 litres of imported sewage (aside from being gut bustingly hilarious) breaches about 27 commonwealth and state laws.

I swear to this day that even after the flow stopped he was still standing there on the platform with his hand on the lever wondering WTF just happened...
All the paperwork was worth it tho and we scored a new truck about 3 months later... damn that was funny
    Bwahahaha I am pissing myself!

    I bet it did, mate.

C130 Hercules dunnies were a design acheivement that preceded the Apollo missions.
They were the old school bucket and pan type
They were stowed down the back above the ramp on a 67.428 degree sliding rail arrangement with bungee cord or springs to aid in lowering.
When you needed to use one you faced the shitter at about chest height, pulled the pin and allowed it to slide down and forward to the 'in use' position
Flip down the feet support, stand on the support, undo the catches, lift the lid, about face, drop trou, wave to all the other passengers and let nature take it's course.
    Stowage was the opposite

Now, the mongrel who designed those suckers was a deadset genius.
He had worked out, and this was using a slide rule and a pencil back in the 50's remember, the exact angle and distance of his gravity powered rail launcher so that if they bungee broke the dunny fell and hit the end stop at exactly the right force to impart sufficient inertia to the contents (20 litres of Rakasan plus all previous visits) so that it could do 3 orbits of the can to reach escape velocity and hit the lid with sufficient force to burst the catches.

Now it didn't end there, this rocket scientist was obviously a study of human psychology.
He knew that most people who dropped something had a primal instinct to try and catch it before it damaged anything.
Einsteins cousin, obviously a black belt in Kepler mathematics had factored in the ballistics and calculated the apogee to approx 5 decimal places and the conservation of momentum was such that the mass of shit would raise the lid to the precise angle such to direct it full force onto the abdomen of the user who was bending forward to try and stop the fall.
Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.

Holy sheeeet! The in dash GPS system in our new car hasn't been updated since the car was new, so running on 2008 maps.
Just rang Toyota to find out how much a new updated DVD would cost.... $380
I see you can get it direct from Whereis for $290 but that is still ridiculously overpriced. I'm going to have to do some Googling to find another way, or else we will be putting up with old maps.

Nah it has two disc drives hidden behind the touch screen, one for the CD stacker and the other is for the DVD which has the maps on it.
Yeah you would think they'd remember how to get there... lol

How old is the car? If it has Toyota Setvice history you should argue that there should have been automatic updates during the 5 year warranty period and ask for the last update during the warranty for free.
    Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!! ....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

The car is 2008, no such luck mate, Mum has had the same car since it was a year old and map updates are not included in servicing or warranty.
