That's it mate. You legend. Flat side against the sump.
    Cheers.

Didn't get to do it today either. Next weekend it is. Spewing.

Hodge, I see in this pic that you have factory cruise control. Any chance of some clear pics of how it connects to the pump?
I need to get mine working since my conversion and I've never seen how the cable attaches on the factory unit.
    Cheers!

Cheers mate, also meant to ask what was the outcome of the noise level you were concerned about? I listened to the video you posted and it sounds very close to the noise level I have which I find annoying.
I know part of my problem is that I'm coming from a super quiet and very smooth TB45E..

I have had a few people tell me it is normal including some fairly knowledgeable blokes in this thread. Well when I say normal I mean it's very common be it normal or not. I got told by my mechanic to see how it goes after an oil change.

I think I'd just like mine to be a little bit less "normal"

Sure, but I'm coming from the other end of the spectrum where I was driving a super quiet, super smooth TB45E.

I'm learning to live with the vibration but the clackety clack is a bit annoying. Nissannewby (Mat) came by on the weekend with his TD42Ti ute and it doesn't clack anywhere near as loud as mine so there are some engines that don't do it..

Tbh I don't give a rats behind how it sounds like, I'm just learning what's a normal and what's a bad sound on a td42. Proactive rather then reactive .
